About the Role



We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Recruitment Manager to lead Cedar Health & Wellbeing's recruitment function. This is a vital role to aid the growth of the business, responsible for ensuring every hire meets strict safer recruitment and compliance standards while driving innovative attraction strategies to support our growth.

You'll report into the Head of HR and work closely with Business Development and operations to forecast staffing needs for new services, secure top talent for management and specialist roles, and build a strong employer brand that sets us apart in the health and social care sector.

What You'll Be Doing



As Recruitment Manager, you will:

Lead the full recruitment lifecycle:

From workforce planning and job design to onboarding, ensuring every process is efficient, candidate-friendly, and fully compliant.

Drive safer recruitment practices:

Embed safer recruitment principles in all processes, including robust pre-employment checks, safeguarding compliance, reference verification, right to work verification and DBS checks.

Forecast staffing needs:

work closely with business development and operations to plan recruitment pipelines for upcoming services and business growth.

Recruit key leadership roles:

Personally manage recruitment for management, senior leadership, and hard-to-fill specialist positions.

Lead employer branding campaigns:

Build Cedar's reputation as an employer of choice through creative advertising, social media campaigns, referral schemes, and recruitment events.

Design recruitment incentives:

Coordinate attraction strategies and initiatives to increase candidate engagement and retention.

Collaborate with managers:

Partner with service leaders to ensure staffing needs are met while maintaining cultural fit and service quality.

Support growth strategy:

Work alongside Business Development to identify talent pools, anticipate market needs, and contribute to service expansion plans.

What We're Looking For



Essential Skills & Experience



Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced or multi-site organisation. Strong knowledge of safer recruitment practices, safeguarding requirements, and compliance frameworks (DBS, references, right-to-work checks). Experience recruiting across all levels, including senior management and specialist roles. Commercial mindset with the ability to anticipate staffing needs and create innovative attraction strategies. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, working with senior leaders to align recruitment with growth plans. Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven, with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in recruitment within the health and social care sector. Must have a full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications



CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (desirable). HR, recruitment, or business qualification preferred. Knowledge of health and social care regulations (CQC, OFSTED) is an advantage.
