Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:




In conjunction with the Crew HR Team Lead, & Training Lead be responsible for recruitment, employee file creation, new start mobilization, and logistics. Also, take the lead on assigned training areas.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:




Reporting jointly to the Crew HR Team Lead & Training Lead and ultimately to the Group HR & Crewing Manager.


KEY WORK AREAS:



Pipeline generation of candidates through Digital Strategy + Coordinate Website content i.e. blogs and testimonials
+ Manage vacancies on Company website
+ Social Media management
Conducting interviews, getting right fit of qualified crew and match to Company Values Recruitment process of qualified Marine crew on behalf of North Star (Guernsey) Limited to meet fleet requirements Creating employee files in HRIS with all certifications to satisfy audit purposes. Onboarding of new hires + Ensure all payroll information is collected and passed to payroll.
+ Checking validity of certification
+ Assist non-UK certificate holders to obtain UK equivalents from MCA.
+ Obtaining references in line with Company policy
+ Arrange travel to join on first rotation.
+ Arrange PPE
+ Support new starts and act as POC during probation period.
Take the lead on assigned training areas including travel & hotel arrangements. Support the Training Lead with travel & hotel bookings. Provide additional cover for Crewing Coordinators when workload allows/demands. Participate in the on-call schedule for out of hours requirements. Any other projects or tasks as delegated by the Crew HR Team Lead and/or Training Lead

COMMUNICATIONS:




Daily communication with the crewing team, staff across all departments, crew members, applicants.


QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:



Previous HR, Recruitment or Training administration experience. General administrative experience Computer literate - Microsoft packages i.e. word, excel, outlook and employee databases
