The Role
We are recruiting 2 supervisor positions at our new recycling facility. The main purpose of this role is to not only work as a key member of the team but also be responsible for the team and ensure all waste and recycling processes for the site are carried out safety and efficiently.
A counterbalance forklift license
may be required for this role - However full training will be provided if required.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
In this supervisory role you will be required to communicate well with your team, the on site management team and your service delivery manager. As the key point of contact for your team it is imperative you can deal with varied situations in a professional, confident, fair and calm manner. You will also be able to adapt the role where required in order to achieve the operational results required and will often be required to multitask.
Manage and carry out daily and weekly waste removal and recycling tasks as required, this includes recycling and disposal of all waste packaging, baling operations and loading and unloading of cages and pallets to and from double decker trailers
Ensure that all work processes including H&S is adhered to at all times. All sign off sheets are completed, hourly figures are collated and sent to relevant personnel
Ensure a clean and safe working environment within the yard area at all times
Adhere to all ISM and client health and safety rules and requirements
Wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site specific clothing as directed
Ensure an efficient work flow process is maintained and where required and necessary demonstrate flexibility and initiative to react to changing environments whilst ensuring output targets and quality standards are met
Competent knowledge of environmental responsibilities and procedures and the ability to articulate and demonstrate this to your team
Ability to escalate any issues to your service delivery manager and communicate these effectively, professionally and in a timely manner
Maintain excellent relations with your team, client staff, contractors and visitors to the site
Responsible for completing a variety of documentation including: Return to work, Investigations, Incidents, Near Misses and Safe Systems of Work
Liaise with external contractors on site for removal of waste and recyclable product
You will report to the Site Manager
You will be expected to work on a 12h - 4 on / 4 off shift pattern -
2200-1000
ISM uniform will be provided
You may be asked to carry out other tasks as required by the Site Manager to fulfil client or ISM requirements.
