We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Recycling Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and be comfortable with heavy lifting as part of their daily duties. Responsibilities

Sort and separate recyclable materials from waste streams according to established guidelines. Operate machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed. Perform heavy lifting of materials as required, ensuring safe handling techniques are employed. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Assist in the loading and unloading of recyclable materials from lorries or containers. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly. Collaborate with team members to achieve recycling targets and improve operational processes.

Experience

Previous experience in a recycling or waste management environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong mechanical knowledge is preferred, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Physical fitness is necessary due to the demands of heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
