North West Recycling, Cumbria's leading waste management supplier are actively recruiting for Recycling Operatives to join our expanding team.

We employ over 100 staff, operate over 25 vehicles, and deploy over 2500 skips and containers from our 30-acre purpose-built waste management, skip hire and recycling facility near Carlisle, in Cumbria.

Our aim is to fully close the circular journey of the waste produced, through our ability to manage the entire process - skip hire and business waste collection through to recycling and full material recovery.

The Role

The role involves sorting waste and maximising the volume of recycled materials we can recover from our processing lines.

We are looking for hard working, self starters who also want to further their careers in a growing industry and help tackle climate change at the same time.

Full training, uniform and equipment is provided, and there are a range of development opportunities available.

The waste encountered is mainly construction and demolition waste with some commercial and industrial waste which is mostly from trade and household skips which does not include food wastes.

The role works on an alternate weekly shift pattern Monday to Friday with overtime as required.

Early shift - 06.30 to 15.00 and late shift - 14.45 to 23.15 alternate weeks.

Alternate Saturdays 06.30 to 15.00

Hourly rate is 12.50 per hour

20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. An additional days holiday for every year of service up to 10 days.
