Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience 35 -45K plus Overtime and Oncall allowance



The Field Service Engineer will primarily be responsible for the maintenance, calibration and validation of temperature and humidity-controlled stability equipment installed on both the Company premises & Clients sites throughout the UK. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of temperature and humidity-controlled equipment and a background in calibration and validation activities would be advantageous.

Also to include Ultra-low temp freezers within the healthcare and medical sector always working to F-Gas standards.

This will include trouble shooting systems and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification, we aim for a first-time fix on client site with all vans fully stocked with parts required. Completion of scheduled maintenance including calibration to UKAS standards, whilst complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure all equipment is left running within the required specifications.

Managing stock of the 'Service stock parts' retained on the designated service vehicle, be a part of the Field Service 'out of hours / on call rota' and be able to respond to site visits in the UK and Ireland occasionally as required. Travel to all sites to complete service tasks.

Training will be provided on all products for the right candidate. We have a wealth of experience within our team.

Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:



Maintain stability chambers in Medical and Pharmaceutical settings.

Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical, humidity and refrigeration systems.

Inspect systems and conduct routine maintenance, calibration and validations.

Ensure all refrigeration systems meet safety and efficiency standards.

Create and maintain documentation for all projects.

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety guidelines.

Carry out of hours weekend and bank holiday emergency site visits on an on call rota basis

Restock the 'service stock parts' as applicable on the designated service vehicle to be able to respond to and complete emergency repairs to the installed equipment.

Complete all 'service reporting documentation' (both verbal and written) to ensure both the client and the line manager is informed of the equipment status and any further actions which may be required (including any replacement parts used / required)

Complete all works in accordance with the Company Quality Policy ensuring timely communication with the QA department highlighting any concerns which may not be covered by the documented system.

Complete all works in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy

Adopt and develop a flexible working approach to ensure that all activities are completed in an efficient / timely manner.

Manage travel arrangements to optimise time available for site attendance within cost parameters agreed with Field Service Operations manager

Company Duties:



To participate in the Annual Joint Staff Review process, in accordance with Company Policy. To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with grade and experience. Attend any training courses - opportunities as appropriate to role or as reasonably requested by Line Manager.

Qualifications



Essential:



Previous experience working in Field Based Role

Clean driving licence

Mechanical & Electrical knowledge

Fault finding experience (Laboratory equipment) Electrical/Refrigeration

Advantageous:



Full F-Gas qualification category 1

Experience in Validation and Calibration activities

Previous experience working in GMP environments.

Proven knowledge of calibration activities

F-gas qualification is essential with at least 5 years' experience in the field.
