Refuge Facilities Worker - Worcestershire Refuges
37 Hours per week
Salary 24,191.57 (currently funded until 31/03/2026)
West Mercia Women's Aid (WMWA) is working hard to continue to provide much-needed support for women and children affected by domestic abuse.
Are you looking for a role that is predominantly evening and weekends and provides the opportunity to experience working for a Domestic Violence charity. Refuge Facilities Workers are a very important part of the refuge team, they are hands on, taking responsibility for health and safety checks, risk assessments and ensuring the building is safe for its residents. But they also play an important role in ensuring residents feel safe and supported out of hours, so listening skills are also very important and experience of having worked in supportive roles is also very useful. We regularly recruit to Refuge Facilities roles as this, for many is the entry route to the organisation and people often progress in to supporting roles within WMWA.
We are looking for someone who is:
Committed to the values of empowerment and equality
Has experience of working as part of a team to improve outcomes for the vulnerable
Has experience of the management of properties in multi-occupation
Can deal calmly and effectively with emergency situations and services
