Role Description
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an AAC Consultant and play a pivotal role in helping clients with their communication needs. This role involves working closely with individuals, families, educators, and healthcare professionals to assess, recommend, and implement AAC solutions tailored to each person's unique strengths and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess communication needs and provide personalised AAC recommendations that promote independence and self-expression.
Offer expert advice and support on AAC technologies, software, and strategies.
Deliver engaging training and workshops for individuals, families, and professionals.
Collaborate with speech and language therapists, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure effective AAC implementation.
Stay ahead of the curve by learning and sharing the latest AAC innovations, research, and best practices.
Advocate for inclusive communication environments, ensuring that every individual's voice is heard and valued.
What we're looking for:
Qualifications & Experience
A background in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Assistive Technology, or a related field.
Experience working with individuals who have communication needs and/or using AAC solutions.
Knowledge of AAC devices, software, and communication strategies.
Experience in assessment, training, and implementation of AAC.
