Purpose of the Role
The Regional Account & Business Development Manager will lead all sales and client development activity within the Midlands, ensuring alignment with Accent Services' wider growth strategy. This field-based role combines proactive new business generation with the management and expansion of existing FM and end-user accounts.
Core responsibilities include regional sales planning, service sales budgeting, market development, KPI reporting, and driving contract growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sales Director and Regional Manager to support effective management of regional accounts.
- Develop and propose a region-wide sales plan and revenue targets aligned with company objectives.
- Create clear action plans, including resource and pipeline planning, and track progress against key milestones.
- Communicate objectives and updates effectively across the regional team.
- Report monthly on regional sales performance, pipeline progress, and key activity.
- Analyse regional market trends to identify new opportunities for sustainable growth.
- Deliver against the regional growth plan, ensuring sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts to ensure long-term success and client retention.
- Increase sales across maintenance, repair, and installation projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination on technical queries and client requirements.
- Oversee large or complex repair projects from order through to completion.
- Build strong, positive relationships with clients at all levels.
- Generate new business by leveraging existing networks and developing new client relationships.
- Monitor monthly and quarterly sales metrics and performance against targets.
- Recommend initiatives and improvements to enhance regional sales performance and growth.
- Maintain high standards of customer interaction to ensure consistent client satisfaction.
- Increase company visibility and promote Accent Services throughout the Midlands region.
Requirements
Proven experience in Sales Management, Account Management, Business Development, or similar roles.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems.
Ability to measure, analyse, and act upon key performance indicators.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Strong problem-solving capability with a proactive approach.
Proficient in MS Office and Field Service Management software.
Prior experience in the HVAC industry is advantageous.
