Regional Care Assistant (North East Region)

Covering care homes from

Stocksfield to Sunderland - 13.68 per hour (includes 12.07% holiday pay).

We're looking for compassionate, flexible care assistants who enjoy variety and supporting residents across different homes.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services and have

a minimum of 6 months of experience in care homes.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort Follow personalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in health or behaviour Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals Support clients with meal preparation and feeding if required Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home and minimum of 6 months; training will also be provided. Driving licence is advantageous. Excellent time keeping. Good command of English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication. Basic IT skills to update records and access care plans accurately. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues. Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or bank holidays if required across all of our Homes.

Note: This is a regional bank care assistant role, shifts and hours are not guaranteed and will be on an ad-hoc basis. You will join our flexible bank team where shifts will be available on a first come, first served basis via our shift booking system.

Pay: 13.68 per hour
