The Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre (NYNHSAC) is a Regional Estates Centre based within the NTH Solutions / North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and is responsible for meeting identified training and development needs of NHS employers within the boundaries of the regional base and where necessary, national NHS employers as well.
NYNHSAC Manager, duties including budget holder, generating and managing funds required to meet the full cost of the Assessment Centre from various sources including ESFA funding, negotiate contracts on behalf of the Assessment centre, draw up SLAs, carry out monitoring audits, appoint and manage consultants and to develop reports and adapt information to meet the contractual obligations of the Assessment Centre. Work with all the NHS employers, Ofsted, NHSE, Award Bodies, EPAOs
Have knowledge and experience in estates training responsible for provide a training function across all NHS Organisations within the NYNHSAC area and for devising ongoing training / development standards and programmes to meet those standards for the NHS nationally.
Main duties of the job
The main areas of work are:-
Recruit and train estates apprentices in the occupational areas of multi-skilled engineering, medical engineering, communication engineers, plumbers, carpentry/joiners, painters and decorators and information technology.
Staff development, identifying and providing training to existing staff within the regional NHS employers wishing to pursue NVQ qualifications by providing qualifications in assessor training, IQA, customer service and engineering flexibility / upskilling.
Psychometric testing can be provided to NHS employers at A and B level, in the areas of 16pf personality tests.
NYNHSAC organises on behalf of the regional seminars to aid continuing professional development of operations staff
