Oasis Community Learning is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Regional Finance Assistant to support the financial operations across all academies within the region. This is a vital role that ensures accurate financial processing and contributes to the effective financial management of our educational communities.

You'll work closely with the Regional Finance Manager and team to:

Process purchase requisitions and invoices, ensuring compliance with budget approvals and delegation schemes Maintain accurate records of expenditure, income, and VAT coding across purchase and sales ledgers Prepare BACs payment runs and manage supplier statements and queries Support bank account transactions, including dinner money, trips, and payment requests Assist with petty cash, credit card returns, and prepayment tracking Post journals and recode payroll expenses to ensure proper VAT recovery Liaise with academy-based staff to ensure timely and accurate financial data

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

Educated to GCSE level (A-C in English and Maths) or equivalent
Experienced in using accounting software in a finance environment Organised, accurate, and able to meet tight deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Honest, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Aligned with the Oasis ethos of inclusion, compassion, and community service A qualification or current study towards AAT or similar is desirable, as is experience in education or the public sector
