Regional Finance Director (RFD) UK - fixed term for 9 months

We are looking for a

Regional Finance Director

on a 9-month fixed-term contract to lead our finance operations across the UK. This is a unique opportunity to make a strategic impact in a dynamic, global business

About the Role




As

Regional Finance Director

, you will lead financial accounting, reporting, and controlling activities across the UK Region. You'll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Group Controller, and Regional Managing Director, ensuring financial excellence and compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the regional accounting system, including project accounting and reporting. Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Manage timesheets, WIP, UBR, and OOP payments. Process regional payroll and employee payments in support of HR. Ensure the integrity of financial records and systems across the region. Support budgeting, re-forecasting, analysis, and weekly cash flow reporting. Develop and apply standard costing methodologies for tenders and projects. Supervise and coordinate regional finance staff, ensuring robust internal controls and training. Contribute to functional development and groupwide financial solutions. Implement best practices and standardized procedures across the region. Manage inter-company balances and support legal entity reorganization. Lead year-end statutory accounts, audits, and tax filings. Support new office setups and other finance-related tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience



Degree-qualified and a member of a recognized professional accounting body. 5-10 years' experience in a medium practice environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting standards. Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software. High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internet tools. Proven experience in financial control across a group of companies. Background in the offshore industry is highly desirable.
