HEIW is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacy technician to join our dynamic team as a Regional Lead for Pharmacy Technician Education, Training & Development .



This role is central to supporting and shaping pharmacy technician education across South Wales. The successful candidate will be allocated to a specific health board within the region and will play a key role in delivering high-quality training and development opportunities.

About you:



You'll be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have significant experience in delivering education and training programmes. You'll also bring:



Strong knowledge of assessment and quality assurance processes.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A collaborative approach to working with education leads and pharmacy employers.

A commitment to developing the pharmacy workforce across Wales.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applications from both Welsh and English speakers.

The Regional Lead for Pharmacy Technician Education Training & Development will hold a professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as well as having significant experience of delivering education and training programmes.



Main duties of the job



Apply technical expertise and specialist assessment and quality assurance knowledge to manage the delivery of pre and post pharmacy technician and support staff education, training and development, including standardisation and quality assurance.

Manage the regional delivery of pharmacy technician training events including standardisation and quality assurance.

Co-ordinate a regional approach to technician education, training and development, contributing to the provision of quality assured services delivered by pharmacy technicians to pharmacy service users.

Work in partnership with education, training and development leads and pharmacy employers to ensure consistency, standardisation, and quality assurance of pre and post registration pharmacy technician training programmes throughout Wales.

Work in partnership with pharmacist regional co-ordinators to manage the delivery and development of education, training, and development resources for pharmacy technicians.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
