About The Role:



Based at:

North (covering but not limited to Manchester, Sheffield, South Yorkshire)


Contract type:

Full time


Contracted hours:

40 hours per week, 5 days (Flexible)



To provide professional operational direction, which supports the business in delivering efficiently and effectively its commitments to our clients in the provision of a service completed to a high standard within the agreed budget and service levels.



To oversee the service delivery, managing a team and full responsibility for management of client SLAs.



To have responsibility for the success and safe running of the contracts and to ensure that the team is always operating in a safe environment for themselves, OCS colleagues, our client, members of the public and supply partners.



To ensure that the operational team is recruited, trained and retained thus ensuring the highest level of good-will and motivation towards the company and customers is attained.



To deliver hands-on support and training as required and to ensure that thorough checks are made in conjunction with the supervisory staff and clients to praise and reward excellence and to remedy defective standards immediately.



Must have the ability to work as part of a busy team, self-start and achieve common goals and business strategies.


Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest and management responsibility in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities



The Regional Manager will be skilled in; Client Relationship Management, Budget Management, MI Reporting, Service Standards and Operational Efficiencies.


As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:




To work with all relevant parties to improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the company's mission which includes contributing and originating strategic planning within the operations department and wider business To direct the performance and behaviours across the Operations function, ensuring compliance with the Budget and both business strategic and tactical plans. Ensuring the best value return from the business. To interact with the Directors and key stakeholders of the business and support and deputise the National Account Manager when required. Monitor and manage SLA's to deliver tasks in a timely and effective manner for the end user. To manage daily communications to the OCS team to highlight areas of focus. To complete trend analysis on planned and reactive tasks. Produce ADHOC, daily, weekly and monthly reports. Manage the Invoice process from start to finish and act as the on-account finance controller. Manage the budgets and quotes process. Manage and maintain Subcontractor information and documentation Support and cover as required through absence of Teams

Health & Safety Responsibilities




Participate in any communication activities with staff through formal and informal channels on health and safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high to promote a proactive approach to health and safety. Ensure that the OCS health and safety image is reflected positively through your own actions and those of the operational manager's team directly reporting to you. Ensure that teams are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities and acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for health and safety. Ensure that safe systems of work are produced and communicated to your teams and team members prior to the commencement of work activities. Ensure that all work activities are properly managed and supervised. Manage the health and safety performance of your teams and take appropriate investigative action and disciplinary action (if required) for any breaches in accordance with Company Procedures or health and safety legislation. Build and promote an open and "just culture" for safety that actively encourages open reporting. Work closely with the Group Health and Safety team to obtain advice and support and ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control. Carry out and complete the required number of Senior Management site visits and ensure the Safe Site Inspections are completed by the Operations team Ensure you comply with the company's Near Miss Reporting procedure

Experience and attributes essential for the role




Previous Facilities Management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines Strong financial understanding with keen attention to detail Friendly outgoing personality The ability to remain calm under pressure Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications Willing to 'go the extra mile' to provide a best-in-class service Willing to learn and continually develop skills Has a 'Can do' attitude

Experience and attributes desirable for the role:




Worked with Concept Evolution or similar CAFM systems A Customer Experience mindset Health & Safety experience, IOSH or equivalent qualification Industry knowledge in Facilities Management Financial acumen Moves and changes experience
