We are seeking a Regional Mobile Security Officer to work across various locations in our portfolio of commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through effective surveillance, loss prevention, and emergency response. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and professionalism are paramount. The Security Officer will be integral in ensuring the security protocols are upheld and that any incidents are managed promptly and efficiently.
Main Purpose
Act proactively to ensure all public and back-of-house areas of the site are safe and secure, protecting property, people, and reputation while meeting the high standards and specifications set by the company.
React with an immediate and appropriate response to security incidents and to ensure that Health, Safety, and Security standards are delivered and maintained whilst delivering excellent customer service.
Overview of Duties
Work to flexible working patterns to support the 24-hour security operation across a portfolio of assets, covering multiple sites to ensure a full complement of security officers is maintained as required.
Interacting with internal and external stakeholders, delivering a high-quality service in accordance with company and legal standards, and creating a safe and comfortable working environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Security Duties
Prevent, detect, and investigate disturbances, offences on site, signs of intrusion, ensure security of doors and gates, and that no unauthorised personnel enter restricted areas, therefore creating a safe and comfortable working environment for employees and visitors
Monitored and operated CCTV cameras, including viewing and downloading recorded footage, and maintaining effective multiple information feeds simultaneously, namely CCTV footage and the radio system
Maintain and comply with the usage guidelines for all security equipment when provided:
CCTV systems
Access Control systems
Body Cameras
Radios
Patrol Solutions
PPE (Stab Vest)
Incident management
Accurately reporting all incidents, writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorised persons, requests for assistance or unusual occurrences
Undertake investigations into reports of offences and incidents, escalating incidents where required to do so
Support tenants with individuals who act in an anti-social manner, in line with SIA regulations
Respond to emergencies as they arise, liaising with the emergency services, police, ambulance, and fire service to resolve issues and maintain security and service, directing emergency vehicles and other traffic on site
Customer Service
Deal appropriately and with courtesy with individuals who act in an anti-social manner, in line with SIA regulations
Liaise with the site management to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the building
Maintain positive working relationships with all tenants and other internal and external stakeholders
To be confident and capable of completing all patrol duties and effectively managing challenging situations calmly and professionally as expected by the SIA and the business
Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent unauthorised access or activity
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment
Respond swiftly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
Enforce loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and deterring theft or vandalism
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanour
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Ensure all security procedures comply with organisational policies and legal regulations
Processes
Log and store lost property in line with procedures.
Ensure deliveries, visitors, and contractors are correctly recorded on site, and effective control takes place on access and egress.
Ensure all contractors have a valid permit to work before commencing any works.
Test the fire alarm systems, including the setting and disengaging of the alarm panel, and the activation of the call points, dealing promptly with alarm activations.
Ensure tenants and visitors are parking in the assigned spaces.
Arrange to carry out all daily, weekly, and monthly Centre checks in conjunction with the manager.
Conduct regular inspections of entrances, streets, car parks, service roads/areas, and all publicly accessible areas and back-of-house areas, logging these accordingly.
Ensure that all health and safety checks are carried out as requested.
Adhere to strict levels of confidentiality regarding tenants' and customers' information and operations.
Undertake other miscellaneous duties relating to general service, as requested by management.

To be able to communicate professionally with and be understood by customers, colleagues, and visitors
Previous experience working in a similar position, including single and or/multi-site exposure
Working competency in relation IT and technology
Ability to complete accurate and legible reports to the requirements of the business
Possess a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and responsibilities, including COSHH
