We have a dedicated CAM (Culina Asset Management) team whose priority is to take care of and manage the trucks, trailers and MHE for the wider Culina Group. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking TWO Regional Fleet Operations Managers to join our team on a full-time permanent basis!

Locations: 1x vacancy based at Warrington, North West

1x vacancy based at Rugby, West Midlands

There will be a requirement to travel across your own region, therefore a full UK Driving License is required (a car allowance is provided as part of the benefits package).

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (flexibility is considered)

Within this role, you will manage the maintenance and availability of fleet assets in line with legal compliance and business line requirements through effective stakeholder management. You will be the CAM escalation point for the relevant group business and will have overall responsibility for vehicle availability and cost control within CAM external service providers and dealerships as well as vehicle workshops within your region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the fleet is maintained and operated at the highest standard, with full compliance to all regulatory requirements.
  • Actively working with dealerships and service providers to keep downtime across the fleet to an absolute minimum.
  • Monitoring the performance of service providers to include availability, punctuality, reliability and condition of the fleet and ensuring KPI\xe2\x80\x99s are maintained and actions are put in place to make improvements where necessary.
  • Working alongside the CAM Insurance Team, acting as a process advocate to ensure timely incident reporting and escalation from the relevant group business to control insurance claim costs.
  • Determining, in association with the Chief Engineer & National Operations Manager, new vehicle and/or trailer requirements and specifications.
  • Liaising with the National Operations Manager regarding vehicle requirements in type, numbers, location and hours of operation.
  • Checking running costs of vehicles and where necessary implementing new procedures to improve costs and down time.
  • Reviewing current methods of operation and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring that all parts used in the maintenance of vehicles are of the correct specification.
  • Managing and reviewing documentation in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Ensuring that any issues are addressed appropriately to minimise the impact to the business.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in the transport/logistics industry, with responsibility for day-to-day management and compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements and standards.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics industry.
  • A working operational understanding of trucks and trailers is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability and confidence to converse at all levels across the business.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel (advanced skills would be advantageous).
  • Demonstrate cost discipline and control, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
  • National Transport Manager CPC holder (or working towards qualification).
  • Full UK Driving License, with the willingness to travel where necessary.
