The ROM provides leadership to Instructors and staff, driving performance across quality, safeguarding, finance, and learner outcomes. This role is pivotal in maintaining consistency across all LCG Schools sites, supporting business growth, and ensuring every learner receives an outstanding educational experience.

Role Information

Overview

The Regional Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running and high standards of the LCG Schools provision across a designated region. This role is all about leadership, consistency, and impact -- making sure our learners receive an outstanding experience, our instructors are well supported, and our partner schools feel real value in their collaboration with LCG.

You'll be responsible for maintaining high-quality delivery, ensuring safeguarding and compliance standards are met, and driving performance across attendance, engagement, and learner outcomes. Working closely with the Head of Schools, you'll support strategic growth, quality assurance, and operational excellence across all sites.

Main Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee the day-to-day running of multiple school and AP sites, ensuring delivery is consistent and effective. Support and lead Instructors, ensuring timetables, staffing, and delivery models meet learner and school needs. Monitor attendance, progress, and behaviour data to identify patterns and drive improvements. Implement and maintain operational processes in line with LCG Schools' frameworks and expectations.

Quality and Improvement

Carry out regular visits to sites, observing delivery and supporting staff to raise standards where needed. Work alongside Instructors to develop and deliver action plans following quality reviews. Ensure all provision meets Ofsted, Awarding Body, and LCG quality standards. Contribute to the continued development of the IAAVT and AAVT models to ensure consistency across all delivery.

People and Performance

Line-manage and coach Instructors to reach their full potential through regular contact, guidance, and development. Address performance or conduct concerns promptly and professionally. Build a positive culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support with recruitment, induction, and retention, ensuring staffing levels meet operational needs.

Partnerships and Development

Maintain strong, professional relationships with schools, Local Authorities, and external partners. Identify opportunities to grow and strengthen the provision within your region. Represent LCG Schools at relevant meetings, networks, and local events. Support new site launches or contract starts, ensuring smooth setup and high standards from day one.

Finance and Accountability

Track regional budgets and ensure all sites are operating efficiently and sustainably. Monitor and report on key metrics including attendance, attainment, retention, and safeguarding. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, occupancy, and learner outcomes. Provide concise and accurate updates to the Head of Schools and Senior Leadership Team.

Safeguarding and Welfare

Champion safeguarding across all regional sites, ensuring compliance with LCG policies and statutory requirements. Maintain accurate records on systems such as Purple People and Pro Solutions. Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and local teams to ensure swift responses to concerns. Promote a culture where learner wellbeing and safety are at the heart of everything we do.
