We're seeking a pragmatic, forward-thinking safety professional to play a key role in supporting our haulage company, Greenergy Flexigrid.

You'll need to be based in the North region - ideally around Leeds - to regularly travel efficiently across your area, which includes Scotland, Teesside, Ellesmere Port and Northern Ireland.

Working within a supportive SHEQ team and engaging with a wide network of stakeholders, you'll help drive safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement across our high-consequence fuel transport activities. With the business growing and investing heavily in development, you'll have the chance to evolve your skills and shape how we manage risk.

Key Responsibilities





Working as a key part of the Greenergy Flexigrid SHEQ Team supporting haulage operations whilst maintaining all aspects of SHEQ Using data and trend analysis to identify and guide improvements in region of responsibility Promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement Engaging with key stakeholders including; the wider business, customers, drivers and operational teams Undertaking incident investigation and root cause analysis Supporting the business through external audits including, but not limited to: ISO, FORS, DfT Regular depot visits to ensure visibility and compliance is achieved Undertaking incident investigation and root cause analysis Involvement in wider projects to support business development opportunities


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Essential

NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent TechIOSH qualification level Experience working in haulage in a safety or operational role Competent in Office 365 or similar with a high level of competence in; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Full UK drivers licence Knowledge and understanding of DSEAR Flexible approach with willingness to travel Proficient in risk assessment and risk management with a pragmatic approach to problem solving Excellent communication skills, enthusiastic with an engaging approach Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to understand trend analysis Resilience to challenge

Desirable:

Experience specifically working in the downstream oil industry in a safety based role DSEAR qualification and experience in HAC zone modelling Experience working with a Unionised workforce Experience working with SharePoint and Power Bi
