Job Description

As a Regional Store Detective PET1, you will play a vital role in protecting our stores, customers, and team members by preventing and investigating theft and fraudulent activity across multiple store locations within your assigned region. You will be responsible for proactively patrolling shop floors, monitoring CCTV footage, and identifying suspicious behaviours or activities. By conducting thorough investigations and gathering evidence, you will support the prosecution of offenders and help recover stock losses, while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all shoppers and colleagues.
Your duties will include working closely with store management teams to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies. You will liaise with local law enforcement and external agencies as required, maintaining accurate and detailed incident reports. You will also be expected to conduct staff training sessions on theft awareness and security procedures, regularly updating your knowledge of current retail crime trends. Flexibility to travel between stores within the region is essential, and you should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team. Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, or a similar role is highly desirable, along with strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills. A valid SIA licence and a full UK driving licence are required for this position.
