Supporting the Northern Ireland Operations Managers - essential car driver with own transport


Essential Criteria:

Recognised Nursing Qualification 5 years post registration experience including at least 2 years' experience within the Care Home Sector Proven experience of working within a senior leadership role Car Driver and access to a vehicle for business purposes

This role may involve being based in one home on a short term basis whilst a permanent manager is recruited or providing support, coaching and mentorship to managers currently in post

To provide support to the operations team managing homes which may be without a permanent Home Manager, or where the existing Home Manager requires additional support or mentorship in the management and leadership of their service to ensure compliance with Care Standards and company policies & procedures.

About The Role



Financial and Resource Management




Maintain sound working relationships with regulators, GPs associated with the Home and other appropriate outside agencies;

Manage financial affairs of the Home in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements; Manage the Home in line with budget, or seek approval before any departure from budget assumptions occurs; Maintain fee structures and occupancy in line with agreed strategy.

People Management



Undertake workforce planning to anticipate team turnover, maternity leave, occupancy or service changes; Comply with company Human Resources Policies and processes for Recruitment, Training, Appraisals, Disciplinary Matters and Supervisions; Assume 24/7 accountability where given management responsibility for a particular home, delegating where appropriate to suitable team members; Approve all team duty rotas to ensure compliance with required staffing levels and company policy.

Business Development



Ensure all enquiries are managed in accordance with company policy, that all documentation associated with the resident enquiry process is completed accurately; Devise and agree action plans to ensure occupancy is maintained at the highest possible level.

Strategic Planning and Development



Provide strong, professional leadership in Homes and to Home Managers, ensuring the efficient and economical use of resources available.

Health, Safety and Quality



Comply with company policies and procedures, RQIA regulations and statute to ensure the highest possible regulatory rating; Promote health and safety in the work place, assure a safe environment for employees, residents and visitors, complying will all company health and safety policy requirements; Ensure that a systematic and individualised approach to resident care is delivered in accordance with the Care Services Manual and that appropriate documentation is completed and retained; Ensure the safe management of medicines in accordance with company Care Services policies, current legislation, and the NMC guidelines Continually assess the needs of service users in line with contracts and service specifications and promptly report and investigate complaints from any party; Ensure that all mandatory training is undertaken, particularly fire training, and that weekly alarm checks are undertaken and recorded;
