to provide strong operational and educational leadership across a group of Early Years settings. This is a senior leadership position, working in close partnership with the Regional Manager to ensure consistently high standards of childcare, education, safeguarding, and operational performance across the region.
You will play a key role in supporting and developing Nursery Managers, driving quality improvement, and ensuring compliance across multiple settings. In the absence of the Regional Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operational performance of the region. This role is ideal for a proven Early Years leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective day-to-day leadership and operational support across multiple nursery settings
Act as Regional Manager when required, taking full responsibility for regional performance and outcomes
Support Nursery Managers to meet and exceed EYFS, safeguarding, Ofsted, and health & safety requirements
Monitor performance against KPIs and contribute to quality improvement and action plans
Deliver coaching, mentoring, and professional development to nursery leadership teams
Conduct regular site visits, audits, and compliance checks to ensure consistent standards
Manage and report serious incidents, ensuring timely investigation and follow-up
Support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of nursery management staff
Work collaboratively with the Regional Manager to support operational growth and business objectives
About You
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 or above desirable)
At least 3 years' leadership experience within an Early Years setting
Strong working knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding legislation, Ofsted frameworks, and health & safety
Proven experience supporting or managing multiple nursery settings
Confident in leading Ofsted inspections, action planning, and quality assurance processes
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
Calm, adaptable, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment
