Building Control Partnership Ltd are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced building inspector to work for our company, carrying out site inspections and associated plan assessments as required.
The company operates as a Building Control Approver, providing a quality service to our clients and building control inspection services throughout the United Kingdom.
With this in mind, we seek an individual who is passionate about building control, works with integrity and honesty and is willing to help the company grow.
You will take responsibility for a varied workload with a range of clients and projects based around the Yorkshire area, including but not limited to Leeds and York.
Your base will be from home, with occasional attendance in the office and as such you will be provided with necessary IT and phone equipment to work remotely.
The position requires a sound understanding of domestic and commercial construction, and the post holder must be able to work with the rest of the team and clients to ensure that the business operates efficiently.

Requirements
You will have a minimum of a Class 2A RBI registration with the BSR and hold, or be willing to work towards, an NVQ Level 6 in Building Control (which will be funded by the company).
Ideally you will also be a chartered member of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and/or The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or demonstrable equivalent. If you do not currently have professional membership you must be willing to work towards this.
You must have experience of carrying out site inspections to assess compliance under the building regulations for a range of development types. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Building Regulations, Approved Documents, and applicable British Standards.
You will be IT proficient with a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and be able to interpret building control drawings to determine the works taking place and potential issues of compliance.
Salary and benefits
The salary is 48,000 per annum, plus bonus. This may be negotiable and will be commensurate to qualifications and experience. A car allowance scheme is also available.
Exact hours, bonus and holiday entitlement to be agreed but you will be expected to work for 37 hours per week in a full-time position.
