Oakleigh Residential Home is a family run business and is recruiting for a care home manager to work at a our care home in Moira.

We provide residential care to 30 residents. Graded 'Good' by the CQC in the latest inspection report. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has a passion for delivering high quality care with an overall score of 9.9 on carehome.co.uk.

As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the quality of care within the home, managing the team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the residents, whilst providing a safe and secure environment and maintaining CQC and Quality Care Standards.

Previous experience is essential within a care home setting for older people.
Level 5 management in Health & Social Care.
Sound knowledge of CQC Regulations and legislation
Excellent organisations and planning skills.
Strong communication skills and relationship building

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home.

Duties



Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans for residents to ensure their needs are met. Oversee medication administration processes to guarantee compliance with health regulations. Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements. Foster a positive atmosphere within the home that promotes resident well-being and dignity. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care. Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, training, and resource allocation.

Requirements



Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home setting. Strong knowledge of care plans and medication administration protocols. Experience in dementia care is essential; familiarity with other senior care needs is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
