Job Purpose



To oversee the day-to-day operations of the care service, ensuring full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and Home Instead Franchise Standards, while delivering exceptional, person-centred care.

The role also holds commercial responsibility for driving business growth, increasing client acquisition, and identifying new opportunities to expand the service in the local area.



Key Responsibilities



Work closely with the Franchise Owner to coordinate the development of a high-quality private domiciliary care service. Act as the Registered Manager managing the regulated activity for the office. Oversee compliance with regulators, legislation, and Home Instead's Franchise Standards. Promote the highest standards of care and service with a focus on person-centred care. Manage the process of client acquisition from initial contact to conversion. Carry out care planning and risk assessments, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Operate quality control systems and conduct quality assurance visits. Continuously review and improve operational processes. Manage complaints and incidents, lead investigations, and implement improvements. Ensure all relevant reports are submitted to external bodies (e.g. CQC, Safeguarding). Promote a positive culture aligned with Home Instead's values. Network locally and via digital media to raise awareness of the service. Provide strong leadership to ensure safe staffing levels and excellent care delivery. Support recruitment and training of Care Professionals and office staff. Participate in disciplinary investigations and HR matters as needed. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed. Support with payroll and budget management. Maintain accurate records across all platforms. Stay updated on relevant legislation and regulations. Identify own development areas and take action within reasonable timeframes. Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion policies in employment and service delivery. Carry out any other duties necessary for the successful operation of the business.



Essential Criteria



Extensive care experience with a proven track record in excellent customer service. Proven experience in leading, training, and managing a domiciliary care team. Hold or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Excellent knowledge of care compliance and regulations. Strong skills in care assessment and planning. Good understanding of care systems and processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to inspire teams and build excellent working relationships. Highly organised and able to manage workload effectively. Commercially aware with the drive to grow the business. Passionate about delivering high-quality care. Proven ability to meet business growth targets. Works well and accurately under pressure. Able to remain calm while managing multiple priorities. Flexible with working hours, including on-call duties. Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, databases, and virtual platforms. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
