We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced
Registered Manager
to lead our existing home for young people aged 16-24 in Handsworth, Birmingham - and progress to
dual registration
by opening a brand-new home. You'll work alongside a highly experienced Responsible Individual, recruit and build your own team, and have the full backing of our central office support - including access to
Nourish reporting software and Rota Cloud
to make your role smoother and more efficient.

About the Role
As our Registered Manager, you will:
Be the
Ofsted Registered Manager
for one home, progressing to two homes, ensuring full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations (2015)
Lead with purpose - recruiting, motivating, and developing your own staff team
Act as the
Designated Safeguarding Lead
, championing a strong safeguarding culture
Embed
trauma-informed practice
and
Positive Behaviour Support
(PBS)
Build strong relationships with families, external professionals, and internal teams to support each young person's journey
Drive positive outcomes in
health, education, and emotional wellbeing

What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
At least 2 years' as a Deputy Manager in a Registered Ofsted Children's Home
In-depth understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations, and inspection frameworks
A leadership style built on
emotional intelligence, resilience, and compassion
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Desirable:
Experience with care systems (e.g., Nourish)
Background in trauma-informed practice and PBS
Calm, solution-focused mindset under pressure
