Essential Criteria

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (must have or be enrolled in).

Full, clean UK driving licence.

At least 2 years experience in managing or leading a children's residential home.

Strong understanding of relevant safeguarding procedures and regulatory standards.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Summary

As a Registered Children's Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a care home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. Reporting to senior management, your leadership and supervisory experience will be essential in guiding staff and implementing care plans. You will utilise your core skills in management and communication, along with premium skills in senior care and dementia care, to enhance the quality of life for residents. A valid driving licence and NVQ qualifications are required to support the organisational goals and maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Lead and manage staff, providing supervision and support to enhance team performance. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children, including those with special requirements such as learning difficulties, EBD, CSE, CE. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation. Foster effective communication with families, staff, and external agencies to promote collaboration and support.
