Are you a Registered Manager looking to work for an organisation with a different ethos? We are currently looking for a dedicated and child-centred Registered Manager to manage our three-bedded EBD home in Rossington near Doncaster.

You will be fully involved in the recruitment of your own staff team and will have a say in how the home is presented. Our recruitment department will take care of the staff onboarding process, meaning you can focus on the selection side of recruitment and preparing your home for the registration process.

You will be fully supported throughout by experienced Registered Managers, as well as having support from the Responsible Individual. The company has successfully registered several homes in the past 12 months, meaning we have all the resources and guidance in place to support you in registering the home.

If you do not hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, then we will enrol you on the qualification as soon as you commence your employment with us.

The Registered Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective running of the home, providing leadership and guidance to the staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the safety and well-being of the Children and young people.

We are therefore receptive to the successful candidate having some flexibility in their role, whether it be around their start/finish times, or working from home days, that will allow them to focus on their CPD without the distractions of the home.

Registered Manager - Children's Residential.

Hours of Employment:

Full time - 40 hours per week.

Salary:

55,000.00

On-call:

Monday to Thursday (20.00 per night) and Friday to Sunday (40.00 per night)

Registration bonus - Upon successful registration, you will receive a one-off bonus of 2000.

Key Responsibilities:



Ofsted Compliance:

Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, ensuring that the children's home operates within the statutory framework. Lead and participate in inspections, implementing any necessary improvements based on feedback and recommendations.
Leadership and Management:

Provide strong leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality care. Conduct regular staff meetings and supervision sessions to support professional development and address any concerns.
Child-Centred Care:

Ensure that the children receive the highest standard of care, support, and protection. Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child, promoting their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain robust systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided. Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate action.
Communication and Partnership:

Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the children's lives. Foster positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders.
Financial Management:

Manage the budget for the children's home efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of the children. Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of care.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Person Specification:



Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within the first 2 years of employment Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting. Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance, or proven understanding of this process where the manager has not previously undergone an inspection Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing children's homes. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals.
