Your Mission:
Home Leadership
Lead a well-established therapeutic residential home supporting children with significant trauma histories
Create a structured, emotionally secure, and aspirational environment
Drive high standards across care, documentation, safeguarding, and daily operations
Children's Outcomes
Ensure that care plans, risk assessments, routines, and interventions reflect trauma-informed best practice
Deliver measurable improvements in children's stability, education, and emotional development
Advocate relentlessly for each child's safety, healing, and long-term success
Team & Culture
Supervise and develop a passionate, high-performing staff team, including a Deputy Manager
Foster a culture of reflection, resilience, and accountability
Embed therapeutic thinking into every layer of practice
Regulatory & Strategic Accountability
Lead Ofsted inspections with strategic preparation and regulatory fluency
Achieve or sustain a
'Good' or 'Outstanding'
judgment across all domains
Contribute to organisational development and wider policy thinking
Essential Requirements
Level 5 Diploma
in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum
2 years' experience
as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy in a children's home
Demonstrable track record of
Ofsted compliance
and
inspection leadership
Expertise in safeguarding, therapeutic care models, and statutory frameworks (Children Act 1989, Working Together 2018)
Enhanced DBS clearance
Preferred Attributes
Leadership experience in a
therapeutic EBD home
Knowledge of PACE, DDP, or attachment-based practice
Proven ability to stabilise complex placements and reduce staff turnover
