We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and wellbeing of children within our facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that high standards of care are maintained, and that all children receive the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in nursing, with experience in medication administration and care planning.
Duties
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Lead a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children, encouraging their participation in activities that promote personal growth.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care effectively.
Monitor the wellbeing of children in the facility, addressing any concerns promptly and appropriately.
Qualifications
Registered QCF 5 qualification (or working towards) with relevant experience in the sector
Proven experience in medication administration within a care home or nursing home environment.
Strong understanding of assisted living principles and practices related to children's care.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with children, families, and staff members empathetically.
Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs is highly desirable.
