Proactive interventions
commenced our service in January 2023, we have built ourselves an excellent reputation with many local authorities and are looking for a Registered Manager to go through OFSTED registration and grow with our organisation.
The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the Care Home, for medium to long term planned or emergency placements to ensure young people are supported with their overall care plan needs. The Manager will ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation, and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided, and applied for in accordance with the home's Procedures and strategies.
The Post holder will be the 'Registered Manager' for the home as specified in the Children's Home Regulations 2001 and be required to fulfil the obligations set out in the Quality Standards for Childrens Homes 2015. We are in the process of opening our first Ofsted registered home and we are looking for an enthusiastic, career driven registered manger to join us through registration, and create the perfect home for our young people. However, there is the opportunity to start straight away, building and managing the staff team, and preparing the home for registration whilst overseeing our leisure and activity-based provisions.
As a registered manager you will be involved in the recruitment of the team, as well as on boarding of the young people, giving you a rare opportunity to build your ideal home.
For this role you must be.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
Willingness to complete OFSTED Registration
2 years' work experience working with Children and Young People within a residential environment at senior level.
Experience of managing a staff team
Ability to ensure that the home is compliant in relation to OFSTED inspections and be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in relation to overall outcomes for the children living in the home
To ensure the home is providing a therapeutic, healthy, and caring environment to an exceptional standard exceeding OFSTED's Quality Standards and Children's Homes (England) Regulations.
Knowledge of child development and appreciation of the needs of children and young people.
Working as a Children's Home Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.
