Fully qualified GDC registered dental nurse with atleast 2 years work experience (as a registered dental nurse) who can deliver good standard of service to patients whilst providing professional support to the dentists, hygienists & therapists.

Chairside Assistance:



Welcome patients to the surgery and making them feel comfortable Patient welfare: Prioritise on the care and welfare of patients Patient records: Accurately complete and maintain patient clinical/dental records as directed Provide chairside assistance, ensure correct equipment is made available Assist dentist, hygienist & therapist with surgery preparation and sterilisation Policy Adherance: Handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies, Rules and regulations: Be familiar and comply strictly with all health and safety rules & guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc Record keeping - ability to type clinical findings and dictation as instructed by the dentist/therapist/hygienist Radiographs: file digital radiographs in the correct patient folders Lab Forms: Complete laboratory request forms, keep log of work sent & received. When required perform the role of a receptionist including making appointments, taking payments and answering telephone calls

Surgery and Clinical Related Areas



Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice's health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions

Stocks, Records and Reception



Stock Management: Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgeries Records maintenance: Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored at all times Reception: Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records, when necessary step-in to perform the role of receptionist. Practice Meetings: must attend and participate actively in monthly practice meetings

Other Duties



for the efficient operation of the practice:

Maintain personal development plan (PDP) in accordance with the new GDC guidelines Training: Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities, attend medical emergencies/ CPR/ AED/ Infection control training provided in-house by experts annually Code of Conduct: Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct
This role may involve some reception duties so knowledge of operating systems would be beneficial however not essential as full training & induction will be provided on joining the practice.

Salary would start from 13.00 per hour onwards and will depend on number of years of work experience as a registered dental nurse.

Fill Time: 5 days per week (40 hours per week)
