Job Summary


We are seeking kind and professional Dental Nurses to join our independent private dental practice in Edinburgh city centre close to Haymarket train station.

Full time and part time positions available.

Experienced applicants with post qualifications in Radiography with training in digital scanning and photography desired.

Stable team of dentists, nurses and long term supportive practice manager.

Fully digital practice for laboratory and general workflow, with iTero scanners and Cerec Prime scanners for same day in direct restorations. Invisalign Platinum accredited practice.

Staff expansion due to practice expansion adding further two surgeries and refurbishment of existing practice areas. New staff room, LDU and addition of CBCT services.

We are team focused and enjoy paid staff lunches, night outs and Christmas party overnight stay.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organised environment.

Responsibilities



Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental practice management software. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment rooms and waiting areas. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge within the dental field.

Skills



Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent patient care abilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Proficient communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. IT skills for managing electronic patient records and using dental software applications. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication within the practice.
