Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and administering medications. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being of the client and supporting their care. A registered nurse is required to work alongside a support worker on each shift to support the young client that has additional needs. The client is 11yrs old and has Cerebral palsy, epilepsy and is non-verbal, the RGN for this package must have experience and relevant training in epilepsy and seizure management along with being complaint and in date with all medication trainings. This clients shifts are 16 hours per week at set shifts of a split shift every Tuesday and a Friday morning shift.

Duties



Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health conditions and medical histories. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans based on patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Uphold infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients.

Requirements



Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Proven experience in medication administration and patient care practices, also in epilepsy and seizure management as medication administration. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Ability to work effectively under pressure, in a team and respectfully in the clients home environment. Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail in documentation and care delivery. A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.

Pay: 24.00-32.50 per hour
