Registered General Nurse
Location: Nightingale Court , 11-14 Comberton Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY10 1UA
Working pattern: Monday to Sunday (Days/Nights)
Working hours per week: Full time 33 hours per week
Pay: from 16.50ph - 19ph depending on experience

Nightingale Court is a registered care facility dedicated to providing personal care for older individuals with dementia. We understand that transitioning to a new home, regardless of age, can be a challenging experience. Duties and responsibilities
The role of the Registered General Nurse is to promote the highest standards of clinical nursing within the nursing home, and to ensure that residents receive the care that's right for them, whilst upholding their right to privacy, dignity and choice. This is achieved through person-centred care that focuses on the needs of the individual, rather than focusing on their illness or condition.
Providing professional clinical nursing to all residents based on their care plan
To uphold resident's participation strategy
Maintaining written records and individual care plans for residents
Liaise closely with other members of the nursing home staff
Prepare residents for treatment
Manage stocks and supplies
Management or supervision of more junior members of staff
Assessment of residents' needs
Assisting the care home manager with the day-to-day running of the home
Assisting the care home manager with staff training and inductions
Providing information to family members regarding the care plan
Ensuring that the resident's needs and wishes are met
Working with other health and social care professionals to provide holistic care
Recording and reporting essential information in the residents' daily reports accurately and immediately (communication systems, care and health monitoring, accident and incident reports)
Administering medication (as detailed in their individual medication administration record)
Gently encouraging residents to get involved with recreational activities and hobbies
Giving feedback to health and social care professionals

Experience and Qualifications
Valid NMC Pin
A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role and setting
Good communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 360 and confident with using digital devices

28 days annual leave including bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 16.50-19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 33 per week
