About the service:
St Matthews Unit is a dedicated residential nursing home in the heart of Northampton. The purpose-built care home provides high quality nursing care and long-term rehabilitation for people with severe mental health problems, including dementia and high dependency nursing needs.
Our service supports a wide range of care pathways, including:
Hospital step downs
High functioning recovery pathway
Mild to moderate LD
Clients with organic disorders and high dependency needs
Also have a females only section available for those that prefer non mixed.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Coordinating the planning and implementation of patient care
Developing and coordinating individual or group therapeutic activities
Managing aspects of medication management in line with the Trust and NMC guidelines
Participating in clinical review meetings
Promoting, fostering, and ensuring good working relationships
Adhering to all NMC, CQC and local authority standards and guidelines including the NMC code of professional conduct
Acting as an advocate for our patients and residents
