Job Description

We are looking for a Children's Home Manager to join a new 4 bed Children's Home located in Braintree Essex which has an Ofsted registration date confirmed in March.

Role Summary:



We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our existing children's residential home in Braintree. You will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained in line with Ofsted requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage all aspects of the residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards and company policies, preparing for inspections and driving continuous improvement Manage and develop staff, fostering a supportive team culture and delivering regular supervisions and performance reviews Oversee care planning and ensure that individual needs of children are met effectively Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resources efficiently Work closely with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to support children's wellbeing and development

Person Specification:



Proven experience as a Registered Manager in residential child care, preferably with children who have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Strong leadership and team management skills Comprehensive understanding of Ofsted standards and regulatory frameworks Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Flexible approach to work, including willingness to support on-call duties

Registered Manager qualifications



The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or you are willing to work towards this) Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children's Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification

What Can We Offer our Registered Manager?



Full Time Role 50,000 - 55,000 plus bonus dependant on Experience and Qualifications Bonus is based on Occupancy targets and regulatory rating Great support from the Owners and Responsible Individual Long term progression
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 49,926.37-58,790.82 per year
