We are seeking a committed, confident, and child-focused
Registered Manager
to lead our
2-bed EBD home
. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behaviour support, and relationship-based practice.
You will be responsible for ensuring
excellent standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and leadership
, while creating a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of a
2-bed EBD children's home
Ensure compliance with the
Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
and Quality Standards
Lead safeguarding practice and ensure robust risk management
Embed a
therapeutic, trauma-informed and restorative approach
Make safe, well-evidenced
matching and admission decisions
Support in Recruitment, supervise, coach, and develop staff
Maintain high standards of care planning, recording, and outcomes monitoring
Work effectively with local authorities, education providers, and external professionals
Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections with the aim of
Good or Outstanding
Promote education, emotional regulation, and preparation for independence
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
(or working towards)
Experience as a
Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
in a children's residential setting
Strong experience working with
EBD / SEMH
presentations
Sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and Quality Standards
Confident decision-maker with strong leadership skills
Commitment to therapeutic, relationship-based care
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
Experience managing or working in
small (2-3 bed) EBD homes
restraint or similar behaviour management training
Experience improving inspection outcomes
Background in trauma-informed or restorative practice
A full UK driving licence
