We are seeking a highly experienced, compassionate, and resilient
Registered Manager
to lead our
EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Children's Home
. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of
exceptional, trauma-informed care
for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability, in-depth knowledge of children's residential care, and a commitment to creating a
safe, structured, and nurturing environment
where young people can stabilise, develop, and thrive.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management
Act as the
Registered Manager with Ofsted
for the EBD children's home
Provide strong, consistent, and inspirational leadership to the staff team
Promote a positive, trauma-informed, and child-centred culture
Recruit, supervise, appraise, and develop staff to deliver high-quality care
Care & Safeguarding
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and emotional stability of all children and young people
Oversee the development and implementation of
individualised care plans
, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
Lead behaviour management strategies that promote positive relationships and emotional regulation
Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded, and acted upon appropriately
Quality & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with the
Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
and
Quality Standards
Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, striving for
Good or Outstanding
outcomes
Maintain high standards of record keeping, reporting, and documentation
Ensure policies and procedures are implemented effectively in daily practice
Health, Education & Multi-Agency Working
Work closely with Local Authorities, education providers, healthcare professionals, and therapists
Ensure children's health, emotional wellbeing, and educational needs are met
Support access to therapeutic, educational, and community-based services
Operational & Financial Oversight
Manage rotas, staffing levels, and resources effectively
Oversee budgets and ensure responsible financial management
Monitor incidents, trends, and outcomes to drive service improvement
Person SpecificationEssential
Significant experience within
children's residential care
, including EBD settings
Previous experience as a
Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
(or working towards)
Strong knowledge of
Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and inspection frameworks
Excellent safeguarding knowledge and decision-making skills
Ability to lead calmly and confidently in challenging situations
Desirable
Previous experience managing an
EBD or complex needs children's home
Trauma-informed or therapeutic care training
Experience achieving
Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
