About Nurturing Haven



Nurturing Haven Limited is a Shropshire-based children's residential care company committed to providing safe, warm, and family-like homes for children and young people aged 8 to 17. Established in 2023, we specialise in supporting children with learning disabilities, emotional needs, and behavioural difficulties, offering personalised care packages that promote stability, empowerment, and long-term positive outcomes.

We are proud to operate two Ofsted Good rated homes in the Wellington area and are now opening a brand-new 4-bed home designed to deliver high-quality, child-centred, therapeutic care which will accommodate up to 4 children. You will have access to support from our service psychologist and our full-time Operations Manager, who has significant Ofsted experience.

To support this exciting development, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our new service.

The Role



As Registered Manager, you will have full operational, safeguarding, and leadership responsibility for our new children's home accommodating up to

four children with learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties

.

You will:

Provide strong leadership, vision, and direction to your team. Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements under Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations. Create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported to thrive. Oversee care planning, behaviour support, and delivery of personalised interventions. Recruit, motivate, and develop a skilled staff team. Maintain high-quality standards, accurate records, and a culture of reflective practice. Work in partnership with local authorities, external agencies, families, and professionals. Drive continuous improvement to maintain and exceed "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted outcomes.

About You



We are looking for a compassionate, confident leader who shares our commitment to outstanding care.

You will have:

Previous experience as a Registered Manager

or

Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting. A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Regulations. Proven ability to manage a staff team and lead a positive, child-focused culture. Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, emotional needs, or behavioural challenges. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

and

willingness/ability to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare. Excellent communication skills and a passion for making a genuine difference.
