We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Registered Manager to lead our team and make a significant impact in the lives of the young people in our care
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach, and extensive knowledge of child care, including experience with assisted living, dementia care, and care plans. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering exceptional care tailored to children's individual needs. The successful applicant will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of children under our care.
Duties
Lead and supervise a team of carers and support staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for each child, incorporating their unique needs and preferences
Maintain effective communication with families, external professionals, and stakeholders.
Oversee medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and legal requirements
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and safety
Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic support
Monitor the quality of care provided through regular audits and feedback mechanisms
Organise training programmes for staff to enhance their skills in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and other specialised areas
Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver exceptional services.
Maintain accurate documentation relating to care delivery, incident reports, and staff records
Promote a positive organisational culture centred on compassion, respect, and continuous improvement
Experience
A passion for working with children and a commitment to their welfare and development.Proven management experience within a care home or home care setting specialising in senior or child care (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare).
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to children's services.
Proven experience working in a children's residential setting, particularly with EBD.
Demonstrable supervisory experience leading teams within a regulated healthcare environment
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and legal responsibilities associated with child or senior care
Familiarity with developing and managing personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Previous experience working in a care home or similar setting that involves leadership responsibilities in dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and team members
