We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Children's Home Manager to lead a residential home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This role requires strong leadership, a commitment to high-quality care, and the ability to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
Support staff in the administration of medication.
Create, implement, and review personalised care plans for each child.
Mentor, support, and develop a skilled residential care team.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies, while driving the home to achieve and maintain "Outstanding" Ofsted outcomes.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders.
Requirements
Previous experience managing an Ofsted-regulated children's home or similar setting, including at least two years as a Registered Manager.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic approaches.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a compassionate approach to children and families.
