Are you an experienced leader within children's residential care, passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments for young people? An established Children's Home is seeking a committed

Registered Manager

to guide the service toward excellence.

About the Role



As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and compliant running of a small, high-quality home supporting children aged 6-16 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Your focus will be on safeguarding, leadership, service development, and achieving the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities



Manage day-to-day operations to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people Provide strong leadership to staff, ensuring a therapeutic, structured, and supportive environment Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and works toward achieving an Outstandingrating Oversee staffing, supervision, safer recruitment, training coordination, and team development Maintain accurate records, audits, quality assurance processes, and regulatory documentation Manage occupancy levels in line with children's needs and business requirements Build and maintain strong professional relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external agencies Support administrative functions, including invoicing, payroll tracking, and general organisational systems Promote excellent safeguarding practice and ensure all concerns are reported and managed appropriately

Requirements



3-5 years' recent experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Children's Home Experience supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours, able to enforce boundaries Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and residential childcare legislation Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management Full UK driving licence and the legal right to work in the UK
