This is a fantastic step-up opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of Deputy Manager experience, ready to progress into a Registered Manager role. The service is fully occupied, rated highly by Ofsted, and supported by a knowledgeable, stable, and friendly staff team.
You'll be joining a home that is therapeutic, child-centred, and compliance-driven, with a strong focus on attachment, safety, and achieving long-term outcomes for the young people we support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to staff, ensuring best practice in care delivery.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and organisational policies.
Contribute to care planning, staff supervision, and quality assurance.
Participate in the on-call rota and provide cover when required.
Build strong, positive relationships with young people, promoting safety, independence, and growth.
About You
Essential:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Deputy Manager in children's residential care.
Strong knowledge of EBD and LD support strategies.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Flexible and resilient, with a commitment to child-centred practice.
Desirable:
Familiarity with therapeutic and attachment-based approaches.
Experience working in homes rated "Good" or "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
