About the Role
We're looking for aRegistered Children's Home Manager who is passionate, driven, and child-focused to lead our children's home. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape the culture of the home, inspire your team, and ensure every child feels safe, valued, and supported to thrive.
You'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home - from safeguarding and quality care, to staff leadership, compliance, and creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can flourish.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading a home that puts children at the centre of everything
Creating strong, trusting relationships with young people
Championing therapeutic, trauma-informed care using PACE principles
Ensuring safeguarding, care planning, and risk management are top-notch
Leading, mentoring, and developing a committed staff team
Managing rotas, budgets, compliance, and the overall running of the home
Working closely with families, professionals, and external agencies
Being a visible, positive role model for both children and staff
Who We're Looking For
You'll be someone who:
Is (or can be) Ofsted Registered
Holds (or is working towards) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
Has solid knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Is confident leading teams, managing performance, and supporting staff wellbeing
Can balance compassion with consistency
Is organised, resilient, and calm under pressure
Truly believes every child deserves a safe, happy, and aspirational home
