We're helping a trusted provider hire a

Registered Manager

to run a children's home to an outstanding standard, safe, therapeutic, and fully compliant with Ofsted SCCIF and all relevant regulations.

400 per month (full occupancy)

Key Responsibilities Care, Quality & Compliance



Full day-to-day accountability for the home; deliver high-quality care aligned with legislation, Ofsted SCCIF, and organisational policies. Champion safeguarding; embed anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities. Ensure Health & Safety compliance and that staff are trained and confident. Maintain accurate records for children and staff; manage monitoring and evaluation systems. Produce management information; report required statistics. Innovate practice and introduce evidence-based approaches within the home. Attend and chair internal/external meetings; write clear, evaluative reports. Make sound decisions; oversee admissions and discharges. Participate in the on-call rota (shared with Deputy Manager). Hold (or be willing to work towards) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People).

People Leadership (HR)



Lead recruitment and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed. Deliver strong inductions, supervision, and appraisals. Oversee CPD and mandatory training for all staff. Build and maintain effective rotas; approve expenses. Manage grievances, complaints, and disciplinaries in line with policy.

Finance, Premises & Resources



Monitor service budgets and transactions; meet financial targets. Ensure the building and equipment are safe and well maintained.

External Relationships



Represent the home positively with external agencies and the public. Liaise with commissioners and referrals managers on placements. Contribute to leadership and psychotherapy forums; lead meetings within your team.

Competitive (DOE)

Annual Leave:

32 days (including Bank Holidays), increasing by 1 day per year for the first 3 years

Ofsted Bonus:

3,000 for an 'Outstanding' report / 1,500 for a 'Good' report

Company Car / Travel Allowance:

3,000 per year

Occupancy Bonus:

400 per month (full occupancy)

On-Call:

Included within salary and shared with Deputy Manager (rarely required)
