What we do



We're supporting a trusted children's provider to recruit a

Registered Manager

to open and lead a new 4-bed children's home, ensuring it is safe, therapeutic, and fully compliant with Ofsted SCCIF and all relevant regulations.

The Home

EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) - Mixed Genders

Size:

4-bed children's home

Ofsted Rating:

N/A - this will be a new registration

Occupancy Bonus:

400 per month for full occupancy

Key Responsibilities Care, Quality & Compliance



Take full day-to-day responsibility for the home and ensure the delivery of high-quality care aligned with Ofsted SCCIF and all relevant legislation. Lead the registration process for the home and establish a strong, child-centred culture from the start. Champion safeguarding and promote a positive, inclusive environment. Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and ensure staff are confident and well-trained. Keep accurate and up-to-date records for children and staff. Attend meetings, produce reports, and ensure all documentation meets required standards. Make sound decisions around admissions, placements, and discharges. Participate in the on-call rota and provide occasional cover if needed. Hold (or be willing to work towards) the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People).

People Leadership



Recruit, train, and support your team to deliver consistent, high-quality care. Carry out supervisions, appraisals, and promote ongoing staff development. Build effective rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times. Manage performance and handle any staff concerns in line with company policy.

Finance & Resources



Manage the home's budget effectively and ensure financial targets are met. Maintain the building and ensure all equipment and resources are safe and suitable for the young people.

External Relationships



Represent the home professionally with Ofsted, local authorities, and partner agencies. Build strong working relationships with commissioners and referrals teams. Actively contribute to leadership and management forums.

What Good Looks Like



A genuine passion for providing high-quality, therapeutic care. Experience managing or deputising in a children's residential setting. Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Ofsted frameworks. Confident leading teams and creating a positive culture. Calm under pressure and emotionally resilient. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Full UK driving licence and access to transport. Reliable, flexible, and committed to building something long-term.
