What You'll Be Doing:
As a Registered Manager, you'll be the heart of our care home, shaping the daily operations and leading a team of dedicated professionals. Your focus will be to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspire & Lead:
Motivate and guide a team of passionate care professionals, setting the tone for a positive, collaborative, and learning-driven culture. You'll be the role model your team looks up to, fostering continuous development and a commitment to excellence.
Ensure Top-Notch Care:
As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you'll ensure that safeguarding is at the forefront of everything we do. You'll oversee individualized care plans for each child, focusing on behavior management and risk assessments, ensuring every child feels heard, safe, and supported.
Drive Quality & Compliance:
Maintain the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance, meeting and exceeding Ofsted's requirements. You'll continuously monitor service delivery, making sure every aspect of our homes aligns with industry standards and the children's best interests.
Manage & Grow:
You'll manage resources efficiently, ensuring the home operates smoothly and effectively. From payroll to budget management, you'll ensure the funds are being used to directly benefit the children in care, all while producing essential reports and maintaining accurate records.
Support Staff Growth:
From recruitment to training, you'll oversee the development of your team, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed. A focus on compliance and professional development will be key as you help your team grow.
What We're Looking For:
We're on the hunt for leaders who are as passionate about supporting children and young people as we are. If you have experience managing a team in a children's residential care setting and a genuine commitment to improving lives, we want to hear from you!
Experience:
Registered home manager, with previous Ofsted experience.
At least 2 years of experience in residential care for children
A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role within a care setting
A proven track record of meeting Ofsted standards and driving care quality improvements
Oversee safeguarding measures, ensure all care plans and risk assessments are in place and regularly updated.
Ensure compliance is maintained with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children Act 1989, and related legislation.
Manage and lead the children's home in line with relevant policies and statutory regulations.
Qualifications:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
A background in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related field is a bonus!
Skills:
Expertise in safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and residential care legislation
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
A natural ability to inspire and manage a team
