We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to lead our service in Derby, ensuring excellence in care delivery, regulatory compliance, and team development.

The Role



As our Registered Manager, you will be the CQC-registered leader of our service, holding full responsibility for the operational, clinical, and strategic management of our home care provision. You will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive care that meets the highest regulatory and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the CQC Registered Manager, fulfilling all associated legal and regulatory responsibilities. Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of outstanding, person-centred home care. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Care Coordinators, Supervisors, and Care Assistants. Ensure full compliance with CQC fundamental standards, company policies, and all relevant legislation (e.g., Health & Social Care Act, GDPR). Oversee robust care planning, risk assessment, and quality auditing processes. Manage the recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of staff. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, health professionals, and local authorities. Manage budgets, rostering, and resources efficiently to meet service demands. Drive continuous improvement through innovation, feedback, and staff engagement.

Essential Experience & Qualifications



You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a directly comparable role.

Substantial experience as a CQC Registered Manager within a home care / domiciliary care setting in the UK. Applications without this specific experience will not be considered. A verifiable history of leading a service to a CQC rating of 'Good' or 'Outstanding'. In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of CQC regulations, KLOEs, and the regulatory framework. Proven experience in managing all aspects of service delivery, including staffing, rotas, compliance, and care quality. Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully recruiting, developing, and retaining a team. Relevant qualification: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (equivalent or working towards). Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using care management software.

Desirable



Additional qualifications in relevant clinical or management areas. Experience with business growth, tender submissions, or new service development. Training in specialised areas such as dementia, palliative, or complex care.
