Registered Manager
for a newly refurbished children's home in
Harrow
, specialising in supporting young people with behavioural and emotional needs.

Recruit, induct, train, and supervise staff in line with best practice
Ensure high standards in all aspects of care and home management
Safeguarding & Compliance
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the home
Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and followed
Maintain compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and OFSTED quality standards
Prepare for and lead OFSTED inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding'
Care Planning & Outcomes
Ensure care plans are personalised and regularly updated
Promote positive outcomes in education, health, emotional well-being, and independence
Facilitate reviews, key work sessions, and effective communication with families and professionals
Operational & Financial Oversight
Manage the home's budget and resources effectively
Oversee rotas, staffing levels, and operational planning
Contribute to strategic planning and ongoing service development
Requirements
Essential:
Level 3 Diploma
in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
A willingness to work towards the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
(if not already held)
At least 2 years of experience working in a children's residential setting within the last 5 years
At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a children's home
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and OFSTED standards
Eligibility to register as a Registered Manager with OFSTED
Desirable:
Level 5 Diploma already achieved
Experience managing a children's home rated "Good" or "Outstanding"
Therapeutic or trauma-informed care experience
Full UK driving licence
